We are currently seeking to fill one position through our usual employment agency.
If you are a candidate and would like to discuss this opportunity directly please write to Jo Gray, Operations Director, or email her on jo@fowlerdrew.co.uk.
In this fee-only business, where financial planning is fully integrated with wealth management, a key part of our service to wealthy individuals and families consists of maximising capital efficiency and personal utility through the application of broad and deep skills in pensions, tax and trusts, as well as the expertise the firm has in investment. All clients of the firm pass through a high-value financial planning process, either as a standalone exercise or as the basis of goal-based portfolios we are then retained to manage. We are now seeking a further financial planner who will enthusiastically implement our dynamic approach to integrated planning and management, combining and building on existing technical and relationship skills.
Our quantitative, discretionary portfolio approach adapts principles of institutional ‘liability-driven’ asset management to private wealth. Liability-driven techniques put, and keep, planning at the heart of an asset-management process. Portfolio progress becomes the basis of continuous financial planning, always seeking to maximise capital efficiency and deliver the benefits in the form and at the time most valued by clients.
Working in a collaborative, team approach to performing the functions of continuous financial planning, the successful candidate will be one of several senior staff taking responsibility for managing a small number of close client relationships.
This position calls for a financial planner who has already achieved diploma-level qualifications in pensions, tax and trusts. We expect the role to include leading our strategy in these technical areas.
The company’s sustained high growth is based not on a sales culture but on a reputation for high technical and ethical standards and a commitment to service. All staff working with clients and prospects only need to exemplify these characteristics for the firm to be successful in winning and retaining clients.
The successful candidate will enjoy unrivalled potential for personal development. We will support the application of existing knowledge at the top end of the UK wealth spectrum, where both scale and complexity are greater than the candidate may already be used to and where fees charged are at a level that rewards more time and thought on cases. By working with well-developed, leading-edge processes in a firm dedicated to constant improvement, the candidate will increase knowledge and acquire firmer theoretical and empirical underpinnings for their work as a planner.
